Ventotene, a small island off the Italian coast, was the place where Altiero Spinelli, author of the Federalist Ventotene Manifesto, was imprisoned during the Second World War. Each year, young federalists gather here to discuss federalism and ideas on European and global issues with leading experts from the federalist movements. The seminar is a unique and intensive experience on European and Federalist studies.
This year the seminar is open not only to members of the Young European Federalists, but also to members of Union of European Federalists up to 35 years old. The Ventotene International Seminar will take place from 31st August to 5th September.
On the website of the Altiero Spinelli Institute you find further information on the seminar, a draft programme and an explanation of the participation conditions and how to apply.
Applications must be submitted by 31st May.
Should you require further information, you can contact directly the Altiero Spinelli Institute as applications@istitutospinelli.org.
