Federalists intervened in the plenary debate, drawing the attention of ALDE representatives on the importance of the pan-EU character of the EP elections and to call for a constitutional convention after June.

The Federalist Manifesto was communicated to ALDE delegates and the pledge to campaign for a truly European election was signed by Phillippe De BACKER MEP, Frédérique RIES MEP and Maggie De BLOCK MP(BE). Many delegates came-out as Federalists under the dedicated “I am a Federalist” banner designed for the campaign.
