Dear friends, In compliance with the Statutes, and on behalf of the Federal Committee, we have the honour of inviting you to the XXII European Congress of the UEF, to be held as already announced October 10th, 11th and 12th in Paris, under the title

For a Europe of citizens
June 2009: give us a choice!

Some 200 participants, delegates, guests and observers from all over Europe will participate. As the Congress is the sovereign body of the UEF, its mission is to define the UEF's policy for the next years; furthermore, it will have to elect its representatives bodies as well as take important decisions for the future of our organisation.The last UEF Bureau held on July 5th agreed on the following compromise:

• The Congress should have full translation (English, French and German)

• The working documents can be submitted French, English or German and the European Secretariat will ensure the translation. Any document communicated after the deadline should be translated by the authors in the three languages.

• The amendments submitted during the Congress should be presented only in English.

PROPOSALS FOR RESOLUTIONS

The deadline for resolutions is on September 29th.

Please note that the secretariat will translate the documents in French, German and English all the propositions sent before the deadline.

In case of late communication of the documents, the authors of the proposals should ensure the translation of the documents by their own means.


REFORM OF THE STATUTES

The deadline for amendments to the statutes is on August 29th. If you want to know more about the Congress and have an access to the document just look on the secretariat's mail or call the UEF secretariat.
