Towards Federal Europe
Challenges & Opportunities in European Foreign, Security & Defence Policy
As proposed by the last UEF Federal Committee (13-14 June 2014), the UEF and JEF Political Commissions dealing with Foreign Affairs will hold a joint meeting to discuss in more detail some of the federalists’ proposals on Europe’sForeign and Security and Defence Policy and EU’s role in the world and particularly in the regions bordering the EU.
DATES & VENUES
The meeting will be held in Vienna on Saturday 18 October (whole day), in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and Sunday 19 October (morning), in the Office of the UEF/European Movement Austria.
PROGRAMME & PARTICIPATION
The meeting is intended mainly for members of the Political Commissions of the Federal Committees of UEF and JEF dealing with foreign affairs and Europe’s role in the world. However, it is also open to other FC members interested in the subject.

• MEMBERS OF THE UEF AND JEF POLITICAL COMMISSIONS ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND MEMBERS OF THE UEF FEDERAL COMMITTEE WILL BE AUTHOMATICALLY ACCEPTED, SO WE RECOMMEND TO BOOK FLIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME OF THE ONLINE REGISTRATION TO MINIMISE TRAVEL COSTS (NO NEED TO WAIT FOR THE DEADLINE OR FOR LATER CONFIRMATION BY THE UEF/JEF SECRETARIATS)
• REGISTRATIONS BY OTHER MEMBERS ARE SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE.
CONDITIONS
No participation fee is due.
UEF will reimburse 70% of the total travel costs, up to a maximum of 250 Euros, and will provide the lunch and dinner on Saturday and the coffee breaks on Saturday and Sunday. Participants will take care of their accommodation. To be eligible for reimbursements, participant are required to provides copy of the travel tickets and of the hotel/hostel bills. UEF expects to reimburse travel costs by the end of the year.
