EUROPE'S GLOBAL CHALLENGES:
The limits of the EU's foreign policy, the perspective of a federal Europe
The joint political meeting of the UEF and JEF Political Commissions on Foreign Affairs aims to bring together experts, politicians and activists to discuss key European policy areas. This meeting will address one of the most challenging issues facing Europe at present: its foreign policy.
In five sessions focusing in turn on institutional challenges, the migration crisis, the system of global governance, and the future of European defence, we aim to discuss key questions in the current debate and develop Federalist responses to deliver European solutions.
CONDITIONS
Travelling from Outside Lisbon
Participants travelling to Lisbon and requiring accommodation are required to pay a participation contribution of €100. This contribution covers part of the costs of hosting the event and includes:
· Two night’s hotel accommodation in a shared room (Friday and Saturday)
· Dinner on Saturday evening
· Lunch on Saturday
· Coffee breaks
· A printed meeting folder
Members of UEF Portugal who are based abroad, and are therefore travelling to Lisbon but don’t require accommodation, are not required to pay the participation contribution.
Travel reimbursement will be offered to all participants for all travel costs over €50 up to a maximum refund of €200. All original tickets, boarding cards and receipts need to be attached to the travel reimbursement claim for accounting purposes.
Single room accommodation is available with a surcharge of €80 (for 2 nights).
Local Participants
Participants from Lisbon or otherwise not requiring accommodation are invited to contribute €20 towards the costs of the event. This contribution will include:
